French doors are simpler, more traditional in appearance, and have fewer mechanical parts to maintain. Bifolds offer wider openings (3m+) but cost 30-50% more. For openings under 2m, French doors are usually the better value choice.

Yes — but modern low-rise thresholds (15-20mm) are nearly flush. Fully flush DDA-compliant thresholds are also available for wheelchair access at a small extra cost.

Yes — modern French doors use multi-point locking with shootbolts at top and bottom. Specifying laminated safety glass (which we do as standard) and PAS24-tested gear gives Secured by Design accreditation.
