Stansted's Sound Insulation Grant Scheme provides funding for residential properties in the noise contour boundary surrounding the airport. The scheme runs in tiered zones based on noise exposure. Properties subject to the highest noise (Zone D, 69dBA Leq or more) can also apply for relocation assistance.

Our role is to help you in three ways: (1) free eligibility check — tell us your postcode and we'll confirm whether you fall inside the scheme boundary; (2) guidance on how to apply — we explain the application process, what documents you need, and what to expect; (3) private installation for work the scheme doesn't fund — properties outside the boundary, premium acoustic upgrades (Rw 48-52dB triple glazing) beyond the standard spec, non-habitable rooms the scheme excludes, and commercial premises. If you're eligible for funded works, we'll point you to the official route. If you're not — or you want better than the scheme provides — we're ready to quote.
Habitable rooms in residential properties within the SIGS boundary - bedrooms, dining rooms, living rooms, kitchen-diners. Bathrooms, toilets, hallways, and utility rooms are excluded.

Yes - Stansted's SIGS allows phased works with separate payment claims as each stage completes, up to the maximum grant amount for your zone.
Private acoustic glazing - we typically install Rw 38-42dB acoustic double glazing or Rw 48-52dB premium triple glazing for Bishop's Stortford / CM postcode properties.
No - SIGS is residential only. We deliver commercial acoustic projects for hotels, offices, schools and care homes privately, working to BS EN ISO 717-1 acoustic standards.
